VETERANS CARE
Our agency, Crisp Home Care is a non-medical home care agency that offers a wide selection of services such as dementia care, personal care, mobility assistance, respite care, veteran care, and many more. What sets us apart from other agencies is that we specialize in helping Veterans and their spouses get funding from the VA to pay for aide care that can help them stay independent and safe at their home.
If you or your spouse need assistance with activities of daily living such as light housekeeping, cooking, transportation, dressing, bathing, feeding or mobility, Alzheimer’s care, or other support for disability or illness, your VA benefits may cover the cost of home care services. Several VA benefits cover home care services, and in some cases, Veterans are eligible for more than one program.
VA AID AND ATTENDANCE benefit program
This benefit requires that the Veteran or surviving spouse comply with the following:
- They are over age 65.
- They are a Veteran, a spouse of a living Veteran, or a surviving spouse of a Veteran.
- The Veteran served as “Active Military” status for 90 days during an approved time of war: WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War.
- The Veteran had an honorable discharge.
- The Veteran or surviving spouse meets income requirements.
- The Veteran, spouse of a living Veteran, or surviving spouse of a Veteran needs assistance with bathing, grooming, meal preparation, etc. on a regular basis in order to stay independent in their home or chosen place of residence.
HOMEMAKER & HOME HEALTH AIDE CARE:
Homemaker and Home Health Aide Care is a benefit program for eligible veterans who need home care services and help with activities of daily living. Crisp Home Care is part of the VA Community Care Network – VA approved.
The VA determines a Veteran’s eligibility to receive care from a Community Care Network (CCN) provider and which types of care the Veteran can receive.
